Sarah Lyle
I truly am fortunate to have met Sarah Lyle while romping with pups at the Whitney ball field dog park. We met first while we both were there exercising our dogs. Over time, I found her to be calm and focused when the array of dogs gathered was less than compatible, clear in her direction, and an absolute lover of the 4-legged set. One day in particular cinched it for me as she choreographed a safe solution to one angry pup’s drama in a park full of excited dogs.
Sarah is a biology teacher who, in addition to her dogs Pretzel and Goose, has had snakes, tarantulas, and hamsters living in the classroom. She has a strong commitment to educating people to become responsible owners and caretakers of all animals, with a particular concern for helping to people prepare for the needs of exotics. Her experience reaches back into her college years when she was entrusted with the care of the biology department’s 11 foot reticulated python! In addition, she has owned range of snakes and over a dozen types of tarantulas. She has provided educational programs on native spiders for camps, schools, and state parks.
